Scope of Work

Based on our initial consultation and defining the requirements, restrictions and budget, a project scope of work can be determined and a design contract entered.

Wish List

The Client's Wish List captures their hopes and desires for the project outcome. This Wish List can take many forms and might contain anything from magazine pictures, a brochure from a favorite hotel or resort, a favorite boutique, vacation photos, fabric, color chips, textiles, etc. These items will be kept for the duration of the project to reference and reflect upon. Oh, and don't worry if your spouse's Wish List differs from your own... I will help mediate to assure both of your preferences are expressed in your home in an appropriate manner.

Existing Conditions

I will survey the existing space as necessary and document the measurements and physical characteristics of the project. Existing drawings provided may need to be verified on site to confirm their accuracy. At this point, the "before" photos will also be taken for later review to reflect back once the project is complete.

Scope of Work

This is a report to clarify the actual project scope of work. This document ensures that the we have agreed on the project scope terms, the priority of events and the items which are outside of the scope. This document will serve as a basic tool for the entire project and will be updated as required.

Contract Proposal

A Design Contract will be prepared, reviewed and agreed upon at this stage. It will define all aspects of the project inclusive of roles and responsibilities, the fee, the terms and conditions and any exclusions pertaining to the project details. Any discussions or concerns regarding the terms of the contract need to be addressed at this time. All legal documentation is reflective of the industry standards and the appropriate local legal requirements.

Project Fees & Retainer

A retainer fee is required prior to the commencement of any design work. This is typically between $500 - 2,000 depending on the project scope and is deducted from the initial and applicable subsequent invoices. I operate on a time and materials contract, with an hourly design fee and a cost plus structure on any materials purchased thru the company. My current hourly fee is available upon request.
